Project Overview
Tobidam is an online French learning academy that helps students prepare for the TEF Canada exam and improve their French proficiency for Canadian immigration goals.
The homepage already had valuable content, including program details, student results, French level information, free lessons, blogs, and FAQs. However, the page needed a stronger layout, better content flow, clearer calls to action, and improved mobile performance.
Project Snapshot
- Client: Tobidam
- Website Type: Online French Academy
- Platform: WordPress
- Work Scope: Landing Homepage Only
- Main Goal: Improve design, SEO, speed, and user experience
The Challenge
The original homepage had useful information, but the structure was not strong enough to guide visitors smoothly from the first section to the final call to action.
Important sections needed better spacing, clearer headings, stronger visual hierarchy, and a more organized flow. The homepage also needed better mobile PageSpeed performance and a cleaner SEO structure.
What I Improved
Homepage Layout and Structure
I reorganized the homepage into a cleaner landing page flow so visitors could understand the offer, explore the TEF Canada learning path, view student results, compare program options, and take action more easily.
SEO Structure
I improved the on-page SEO structure with better heading hierarchy, cleaner content sections, improved keyword placement, and more search-friendly formatting.
Mobile PageSpeed Optimization
I optimized the homepage to improve mobile performance while keeping the page visually clean and content-rich.
User Experience and CTA Flow
I improved the call-to-action flow so users could easily access the free assessment, join the next cohort, view results, and explore the learning program.
Before and After Results
| Metric | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Mobile Performance | 71 | 92 |
| SEO Score | 92 | 100 |
| Best Practices | 92 | 96 |
The mobile PageSpeed score improved from 71 to 92, and the SEO score improved to 100. The homepage became faster, cleaner, and more organized for both users and search engines.
Tobidam Homepage Optimization Process
The Tobidam homepage optimization process started with improving the structure of the landing page. I reviewed the existing homepage sections and reorganized the content so each part of the page had a clear purpose.
The new flow helps visitors understand what Tobidam offers, who the program is for, how the TEF Canada learning journey works, and what action they should take next.
I also improved the homepage layout to make the design feel more modern, clean, and trustworthy. The hero section, testimonials, program details, roadmap, free lessons, blog area, newsletter section, and FAQ section were arranged in a more logical order. This made the homepage easier to scan on both desktop and mobile devices.
From an SEO point of view, I improved the content structure, heading flow, internal linking, and page readability. The page now connects better with related services such as WordPress performance optimization, technical SEO, and WordPress development.
The performance improvement was tested using Google PageSpeed Insights. After optimization, the mobile performance score improved from 71 to 92, while the SEO score reached 100.
Final Outcome
The final homepage now has a more professional design, clearer content structure, better mobile performance, stronger SEO organization, and a smoother user journey.
This project shows how focused homepage optimization can improve a WordPress website without rebuilding the entire site. By improving the homepage structure, speed, SEO, and user experience, Tobidam now has a stronger landing page for students interested in TEF Canada preparation.
